Monday, February 23 will be a Virtual Learning day for PGCPS (Code Brown). Schools are closed for in-person instruction and all schools will move to virtual teaching and learning. Synchronous virtual instruction will start on a 2-hour delayed schedule. All offices are closed for in-person work; all offices will operate virtually. Emergency personnel only should report to work with a two-hour delay.

There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.

Families are encouraged to review virtual learning guidance so students are prepared to connect for virtual learning.

Women’s History Month is observed every March in the United States to recognize the contributions, leadership, resilience, and impact of women across history and contemporary society. The month highlights women’s influence in education, politics, science, civil rights, the arts, athletics, and community leadership. It also centers the stories that were historically marginalized or excluded from traditional textbooks. This year's theme is “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future," focusing on how "women are designing blueprints for sustainable transformation."
