Mission
The mission of the ESSA and Title I Department is to provide Title I communities with the funding and resources for academic achievement. Through strategic grant management and working closely with families and school partners, the ESSA and Title I Department will ensure that all students have equitable opportunities to success on a global scale.
Purpose
The purpose of Title I is to provide all children a significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps.
Core Services
- Provide support for designing a Title I program based on a comprehensive needs assessment.
- Provide and support activities to increase parent, family, and community engagement in order to bridge the gap between home, school, and community.
- Provide sound fiscal management to strengthen fiscal processes and guidance for better decision-making and more efficient operations to maximize grant resources.
