William Wirt Middle School
Project Overview
William Wirt Middle School is being replaced with a new 168,500-square-foot facility designed to accommodate up to 1,200 students, replacing the original building from 1964. The project addresses critical issues such as overcrowding, poor air quality, and a failing building envelope, with a total estimated cost of approximately $85 million. Construction is being completed in four phases, including site prep and modular relocation, main building construction, demolition of the old school, and site amenities like ball fields and parking.
