Dear Suitland High School Families,

We are excited to share an important update on the Suitland High School Project and Relocation Plan — an initiative that will provide students with a state-of-the-art learning environment designed for academic excellence, innovation, and success.

The new Suitland High School will be the Crown Jewel of the District, offering:

● Cutting-edge technology and modern classrooms to enhance learning
● Expanded arts and athletic facilities to support extracurricular success
● Enhanced security and student support services to create a safe, welcoming environment
● Collaborative spaces for students to engage in hands-on, project-based learning

To ensure a smooth and efficient construction process, some students will be temporarily relocated for the 2025-2026 school year:

● 9th grade students and all Center for Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) students (grades 9-12) will move to Forestville High School, referred to as Suitland Extended.
● 10th-12th grade students in the comprehensive program will remain at the current Suitland High School campus main building, referred to as Suitland Proper. The 10th-12th grade students and CTE will move to the new building in April 2026. This is the completion of Phase 1 of the Suitland High School Project.
