Dear NTP Middle Families:

The Administration & Staff is excited to welcome you and your scholars to the 2025-2026 school year! We are hopeful that the summer was filled with quality time, relaxation and fun! We are looking forward to greeting our returning and new families and scholars. We will renew our commitment to a safe, responsible and respectful learning environment where all children will have opportunities to be successful. Additionally, we will welcome first time 9th graders to the building!

The mission of the Non Traditional Programs is to use a 3 prong approach of instruction, behavioral, social and emotional support to service students. Here at the Non Traditional Program Middle your scholar will become a Self-Aware Tenacious Advocating Restorative Scholar! To facilitate your scholar’s success we use:

  • Differentiated Instruction
  • Restorative Approaches
  • Social Emotional Learning
  • Wrap Around Services & Supports
  • Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports
  • Project Based Learning

For our returning families, we are enlisting your continued support. Our first parent meeting was held last night. If you were unable to attend, there will be many more. To our new families, we are looking forward to meeting you and establishing a partnership with you. The success of all students will be the result of a collaborative effort; the school, home and of course, the scholars. The Non Traditional Program-Middle Administration, Staff & Security will continue to ensure that your child is provided with a safe and orderly environment that is conducive to learning.

We will continue with established systems and structures that will enable us to maintain safety and order  in our school. All scholars must report to school in uniform everyday beginning the FIRST day of school, August 26th. Each scholar will pass through the Security Enhancement equipment upon arrival.  We follow a NO cell phone policy. All scholars will be required to turn in their cell phones each morning. Clear backpacks are required.

Finally, Parents & Guardians, you will be able to access your child’s academics and attendance progress through Parent Vue. Additionally, we will keep the lines of communication open through updates on the school’s website, Class Dojo, emails, letters, phone calls and meetings.

Middle School matters as we are setting the foundation for what is to come in high school and beyond!

This will be a great year, and we look forward to working with you!
