Laurel HS Back to School Fair

Dear Laurel High School Families,

We are excited to invite you to our Back to School Fair on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Laurel High School!

 Be Part of the Action – Live on NBC Channel 4!
From 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM, Molette Green from NBC Channel 4 News will be broadcasting live from our event—featuring five segments highlighting our school and community! All are welcome to come early and show their school spirit on TV!

Who will be highlighted from 5AM - 7AM:

Drumline                  Choir (hopefully)

LHS Mascot             Current students (State Basketball champs, track, SGA, etc.)

Cheerleaders             Students helping out for Community Service Hours

AND MORE (Note, ALL students and parents are welcomed to get up bright and early and be a part of this great event.  PLEASE BRING YOUR SCHOOL SPIRIT WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!) 

Please note the actual 'Back to School Fair' will be from 8AM- 11AM.  Again, the 5AM - 7AM segment that Channel 4 will cover will be prepping for the event with a whole lot of energy!

What will we be given away starting at 8AM :

Clear book bags  (FREE)                Haircuts (FREE)

School Supplies  (FREE)                Vaccinations (Please bring your vaccination records)

Hopefully uniform shirts (FREE)

AND MORE AS WELL AS MORE VENDORS 

WHY THIS EVENT?

One of my goals this year is to take some things, although important, off of the students' plates.  I want ALL LHS students to come to school, daily, where your focus should be on your academics.  However, we are a uniform school.  We have to have a clear book bag.  We have to be vaccinated.  We have to have supplies to do our work.  I want to remove those things so you can focus on just being the best student you can be.  That's the WHY

Can't wait to see you on the 19th and of course the first day of school (August 26th) ready to have a fantastic school year!
