Great Day, HHES Families and Community Partners,
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year! I hope your summer was filled with joy, rest, and memorable moments with loved ones. While the school doors may have closed for the summer, our work at Hillcrest Heights never stopped. Behind the scenes, our team has been hard at work planning for a strong and successful year ahead.
To our returning families, thank you for continuing to trust us with your child's learning journey. To our new families and staff member - welcome to the HHES family! I'm also proud to share that Hillcrest Heights is fully staffed for the year, thanks to the tireless efforts and commitment of our school's content leaders. We are ready to soar.
This summer, our Leadership Team carefully reviewed academic data, family feedback, and student surveys to identify key priorities and guide our planning for the upcoming school year. I'm pleased to report that Hillcrest Heights continues to show progress in student achievement. We've officially moved from a 2-Star to a 3-Star School on the Maryland Report Card, and our 4th and 5th grade scholars demonstrated growth on MCAP in both Reading and Mathematics.
