Ellen Ochoa Middle School is a uniform school. Students are required to attend school dressed in compliance as outlined in our mandatory uniform policy below.
Jackets worn in school must be the same color as the uniform shirt. Polo shirts must be worn under the jackets. No Hoodies.
Tops
- Grade 6: White polo shirt, White sweaters or sweatshirts are allowed (no hoodies)
- Grade 7: Royal Blue polo shirt, Royal blue sweaters or sweatshirts are permitted (no hoodies).
- Grade 8: Forest Green polo shirt, Forest green sweaters or sweatshirts are permitted (no hoodies).
- STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO WEAR BLACK SHIRTS.
Bottoms
- All Grades: Khaki pants/skirts
Shoes
- All Grades: Black sneakers/shoes
- Closed-toe shoes ONLY (Slides, flip-flops, heels, heeled boots, jellies, open-toed shoes, etc, are not permitted.)
- Crocs are not permitted.
Additional Information
- Please ensure clothes are in good condition and not distressed or hole-free.
- Coats: NO COATS can be worn in the classrooms; they must remain in the locker
- Club, sports, or activity groups: EOMS hosts numerous activity and sports groups. These groups are allowed to wear their group/sport/activity-related T-shirt on Fridays only. The exception is athletes who wear their game-day apparel on game day.
- Backpacks: Students are permitted to carry mesh or clear backpacks ONLY.
- All jackets, non-clear book bags, and other non-uniform items must be kept in a locker during the school day
- Exceptions to the uniform policy for religious practices will be considered.
