Wired Headphones

  • These should not be expensive. Students will actively try to break these and even expensive cables get metal fatigue. Dollar store headphones are more than sufficient.
  • Built-in microphones are not required for this age group, but are allowed.
  • Bluetooth headphones should NOT be brought as connectivity (and charged batteries) cannot be guaranteed.

Grades 3-5

Wired Headsets

  • Some lessons will require access to a microphone. Headphones with built-in microphones solve this issue.
  • While more expensive headsets exist, you are encouraged to NOT spend more than $20.
  • When given a choice between ⅛” headphone jack or USB, the ⅛” headphone jack will be compatible with more devices while USB will usually provide better audio quality but for a higher price.
  • Bluetooth headphones should NOT be brought as connectivity (and charged batteries) cannot be guaranteed.

Media Arts Majors
