A Letter from the Administrators

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! On behalf of the entire staff, Interim Superintendent, Dr. Shawn Joseph, and Prince George's County Public School System Family, we are thrilled to welcome our new Ardmore Anchors and our returning kindergarten through fifth-grade students!

Our Interim Superintendent, Dr. Joseph 100-Day Entry Plan will center five critical areas: strengthening governance, advancing student achievement, investing in human capital, supporting wellness and safety, and ensuring operational excellence. But beyond plans and protocols, his greatest asset will be our families, educators, students, faith leaders, alumni, and partners—who bring love, insight, and conviction to our shared work.

Ardmore’s primary focus remains on providing a quality education, while ensuring that the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We are eager to partner with you to make sure that your child receives a safe and enriching educational experience.

The Ardmore Elementary School staff is energized and prepared to welcome back our students. Our dedicated educators will continue to provide opportunities that foster collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, promoting academic, social, and emotional growth for all our students.

The administrators and staff are excited to kick off the 2025-2026 school year filled with renewed hope and possibilities. We invite you to join us on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, for our welcome event, where we will meet new families and reconnect with familiar ones. Together, we will continue our journey toward academic excellence and strong character for ALL scholars.
