A Warm Welcome to the 9th Grade Class of 2029!
Dear Parkdale High School 9th Grade Parents,
On behalf of the Parkdale High School staff and administration, we'd like to extend a warm welcome to all our new 9th-grade students and their families! We're excited to have you join the Panther Family for the 2025-2026 school year.
To help ensure your child has a successful start to the school year, we've provided some important information below.
Mandatory Uniform Policy
All Parkdale High School students are required to follow a specific uniform policy. This policy helps us maintain a focused and secure learning environment.
- Bottoms: Students must wear khaki (tan) colored pants, skirts, skorts, or shorts. Leggings, sweatpants, or torn pants are not permitted.
- Tops: Plain, short-sleeve or long-sleeve polo or golf-style shirts in white are required for 9th graders.
- Outerwear: Students may wear black, gray, or white hoodless sweaters and sweatshirts. A collared uniform shirt must be worn underneath. Hooded items are not allowed. Outerwear cannot have any inappropriate language or designs.
- Head Coverings: These are allowed for religious or medical purposes only.
- Shoes: For safety reasons, only closed-toe shoes are permitted. Crocs are not allowed.
- Book Bags: To ensure a safe and secure learning environment, all book bags, backpacks, briefcases, and cross-body bags must be clear. There will be no exceptions.
Student IDs and Chromebook Distribution
All students are required to wear a Student ID badge suspended from their neck at all times. To get your child's picture taken for their ID badge and receive their Chromebook, please have them come to school on Friday, August 22, 2025.
The distribution schedule is based on the student's last name:
- 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Last names A-B
- 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Last names C-D
- 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Last names E-G
- 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Last names H-L
- 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Last names M-O
- 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM: Last names P-R
- 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Last names S-Z
Please remember that Orientation Day will be on Monday, August 25, 2025.
