Greetings Raider Family and Happy New School Year,
On behalf of the Eleanor Roosevelt High School Administration, Instructional and Support Staff, I would like to welcome you to the school year 2025-2026 where we are “Cultivating Unity and Excellence…The Roosevelt Way…To Transformation & Innovation”. We will continue on the primacy of our four tenants: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity and Kindness and remain grounded in inclusion and connection.
Just like that the time is upon us! Students, soon, you will begin to set your clocks, charge your chromebooks, pack your backpacks and reset sleeping patterns. Parents and families, you will begin to organize the calendar, establish routines and arrange pick-ups and drop offs. Eleanor Roosevelt High School staff will begin to plan lessons, decorate classrooms, plan for club activities and create meaningful experiences. Collectively, we will continue to exemplify our vision and mission: “Creating lifelong learners and innovative leaders who model respect, professionalism and empathy beyond the classroom.”
As always, our school-wide goals will be in alignment to PGCPS’s Strategic Plan ``Transformation 2026: Education anchored in Excellence and Equity”. Our work this year will be rooted in our district priorities which are 1) Positive and Collaborative Culture and Climate 2) Inclusive Teaching and Learning for Special Education & Multilingual Learners and 3) Advancing Mathematical Thinking.
Eleanor Roosevelt High School abides by the PGCPS System Wide Dress code policy. Please be reminded of the following:
Incoming 9th Grade students (Class of 2029) will be distributed chromebooks; Information on the distribution schedule is forthcoming.Returning students who previously received a chromebook will continue with their same device. Students who are in need of a device or repairs, information regarding the process to be assigned a replacement device or receive attention for repairs will be shared.
It is mandatory that all high school students carry clear backpacks. This is a PGCPS district mandate for all secondary schools. This expectation will be enforced beginning the first week of school.
