Uniform Policy

Uniform and Dress Code Expectations

"I CAN. WE CAN. WE WILL... Adhere to the CES School Uniform Policy!"

Dear CES Parents & Families.  As we prepare for an exciting 2025-2026 school year, we want to ensure that all families are equipped with the information needed to support a smooth start. One important way we promote a culture of unity, pride, and focus on learning is through our school-wide uniform policy. Please review the expectations below as you begin your back-to-school shopping.

Uniform Requirements

  • White, notch-collared shirt or blouse
  • Navy blue pants, skirts, shorts, or jumpers
  • Solid navy or white sweaters/cardigans (no hoodies)
  • Shoes: solid black, brown, navy blue, or white (closed toe/heel only)
  • No jeans, leggings, jeggings, spandex, flip-flops, Crocs, or light-up shoes
  • Socks and tights: solid white or navy blue
  • Pre-K: Velcro or slip-on shoes are strongly recommended

 

 

Shirts and Blouses

  • Shirts and blouses should be continuous from neckline to waist. The entire midsection
    should be covered. No tank tops and/or muscle shirts allowed.
  •  No clothing with vulgar language, obscene pictures, weapons, drugs/alcohol or drug
    paraphernalia, and tobacco products
  •  No identifiable gang/crew clothing or paraphernalia
  •  No see-through clothing, No tank tops, No regular t-shirts, No muscle shirts
  •  School t-shirts are mandatory to wear on field trips. School T-shirts will be sold for $10 and can be worn on Fridays and school-wide spirit days only to show school spirit. School t-shirts have the school logo on it.

Skirts, Dresses, and Shorts

  • Skirts, dresses, shorts, and spandex skirts should be approximately six (6) inches below
    the buttocks or no shorter than fingertip level.

Pants

  •  Pants should be secured at the waist with a belt, No exposed undergarments. No cut or torn pants. No spandex or form fitting pants and No jeans.

Shoes, Socks and Tights

  • Shoes must be worn. (They should be closed toe and heal and suitable for running and
    physical education classes). No “flip-flops or crocs.” For Pre-K – Velcro shoes
    recommended
  •  Socks and tights must be solid white or navy blue.

Outerwear

  • Students MAY NOT wear outerwear in the building. This includes coats, jackets, and
    heavy denim jackets. Students are permitted to wear heavy sweatshirts and sweaters that
    are solid blue or white during the winter.

 

Dress Down Days

Growth and Fit Considerations

Special dress-down days will be announced through Class Dojo, School Messenger, and teacher communication. On these days, clothing must remain school-appropriate. No midriffs, inappropriate language/images, or torn clothes. Please purchase uniforms with room to grow. Female students may also need appropriate undergarments as their bodies develop.
