About Dr. Edwards

Dr. Dana Edwards brings over two decades of distinguished service within Maryland's public education system, most notably in Montgomery County Public Schools, where she held a series of senior leadership roles including Chief of District Operations, Chief of Districtwide Services and Supports, Director of Human Resources and Development, and Principal of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School. Dr. Edwards is nationally recognized for her strategic operational leadership, culturally responsive practice, and proven record of turning around middle school performance. Her tenure in Montgomery County demonstrated her capacity to align instructional priorities with operational strategy, redesign human capital systems to improve diversity and retention, and lead systemwide transformation to advance academic excellence and student belonging.
