David Rease, Jr. currently serves as Associate Superintendent for Teaching, Learning, and Innovation for Prince George’s County Public Schools. David brings over 24 years of school, district, state, consulting experience to this role where he currently oversees Community Schools; Equity, Diversity, & Belonging, and teaching and learning in the PGCPS Innovation Zone. His recently co-authored publication System Wise: Continuous Instructional Improvement at Scale (Harvard Ed Press, April 2024) was inspired by systemic improvement efforts in PGCPS from 2014-2018 that have served as a proof of concept to systems across the USA, Australia, and Brazil. David holds a B.A. in history from Columbia University, a MAT in secondary social studies from Duke University, and a Doctor of Education Leadership degree from Harvard University.
