Stephen Decatur Middle School

Project Overview

Stephen Decatur Middle School recently underwent a major renovation funded through traditional state and county sources with a total project cost of approximately $15.1 million. The project included a special education inclusion renovation and the addition of a therapy pool to support regional program students. Seven rooftop HVAC units from the original 1971 building were also replaced to modernize the facility’s mechanical systems. Construction reached substantial completion in mid-2023, and the project is now considered complete.
