Erioluwa Elizabeth Ajakaye, popularly known as "Eri was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and moved to the United States with her parents at the age of one. Her family settled in Prince George's County, Maryland, where Eri and her siblings grew up and received their education.

She began her academic journey at Kenmore Elementary before briefly attending Magnolia Elementary School in Lanham. Eri then earned a spot at the prestigious Turning Point Academy (TPA), a public charter school, where she completed her elementary education and first developed her passion for student advocacy. By the time she reached Greenbelt Middle School (GMS), her leadership skills were evident. She served as the public relations officer (PRO) and later as president of the GMS Student Government Association (SGA), demonstrating a commitment to improving student life.

Eri seamlessly blends her dedication to student advocacy with academic excellence. She gained admission to the Science and Technology (S&T) program at the esteemed Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt. Both within her school community and across Maryland, she consistently champions student interests and amplifies the voices of those often unheard. While still in high school, she has held various leadership roles, including SGA Historian, PGRASG Social Media Manager, High School Advocate, former Class of 2026 president at Roosevelt, Chief of Staff to the 44th Prince George's County Student Member of the Board (SMOB), and now the 45th SMOB for Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS).

Eri is deeply committed to empowering student voices and driving tangible change. She firmly believes that caring for others and loving what one does are the driving forces behind advocating for an ideal conviction. This commitment extends to her personal life; as the only girl and first child in her family with four other brothers, she has long been a dedicated advocate for one of her non-verbal autistic brothers, a passion she readily extends to other young people in her community.

Eri consistently works to mentor youth and support her peers in becoming their best selves. In her free time, she is a motivational speaker and life coach for younger generations and peers, and adults have also benefited from her insights. She also runs a YouTube channel called WILT, which stands for "What I Learn Today," where she shares her knowledge.

As the 45th SMOB, Eri is prepared to collaborate with all members of the Board of Education to enhance the lives of PGCPS students. She aims to actively listen to and represent student interests, ensuring a sustainable future where all can thrive. Eri will continue to connect with thousands across the country, striving to impact lives and inspire new change positively.
